Thomas Eye Center Moves to New Office

September 12, 2007

Thomas Eye Center of Athens recently moved into their new office at 1077 Baxter Street, which is adjacent to their previous location. In addition to undergoing an exterior facelift, the office space has been expanded and updated.

After a year of remodeling, the eye center has doubled in size to accommodate for business growth. Several companies were involved in the design, including Danielsville contractor Whitsel Construction Services, Inc. EyeDesigns, located in Pennsylvania, was responsible for the new layout of the facility, which includes the eye wear dispensary division. Bravada Interiors of Athens provided new décor for the office to complete the aesthetic renovations.

In addition to surface improvements, Thomas Eye also upgraded their technology. New computer systems have been installed, and each exam room has new optical equipment. Thomas Eye Center plans to introduce the Zeiss GDx glaucoma exam this month, a revolutionary new tool which allows doctors to discover glaucoma earlier and more accurately. The new, upscale eyewear center has more than 600 frames in stock from such designers as Coach, Nautica, Nike, Vera Wang, Vera Bradley, Nine West, Ooh La La Des Paris, Giorgio Armani, Flexon, Aspex, XXL, Silhouette, Izod, Kenneth Cole, Sean John, Calvin Klein, Tura, BCBG Maxazaria, Maui Jim, Saks 5th Avenue, Juicy Couture and Prodesign. For children, we have X-games, Vera Bradley, Jalapenos and Disney.
