We are SO excited to announce our recent sponsorship with the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce and Oconee Women in Business.
It was brought to our attention that we have seven women working within our local sheriff’s office who, when out in the field, are required to wear bullet-proof protection vests that were designed specifically for men. Vests fitted for women are available, but only through special ordering and at a cost of nearly $750.00 each.
Dr. Thomas, along with various other local businesses, have joined together to help raise enough money to purchase all seven women their own protection vests!
Thomas Eye Center is thrilled to help out with this wonderful cause and possibly help save someone’s life. We know it’s dangerous out there and we appreciate EVERYONE who serves in the police force. Your bravery and dedication does not go unnoticed.
