Dr. Kajene Murugathasan (Kaj Thasan) is a native of Athens, Georgia. She graduated from Athens Academy in 2010. She went to Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2014. Then went on to University of Missouri-St. Louis to earn her Doctor of Optometry in 2018. She is a recipient of the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award in her graduating class. She has a sincere passion for ocular disease, contact lenses, low vision, and overall health of patients.
In her free time, Dr. Thasan loves to spend time with her family who still lives in Athens, hangout with friends, and travel. She is very passionate about community service. She has participated in a mission trip to Haiti, and loves to practice optometry through providing service in under-developed countries.
